Searching Hebrew roots within another search (embedded search)

Is it possible to do the following embedded search, and if so, what is the best way?

Search for all roots in the Hebrew Bible that form adjectives;

From that set, search all roots that form verbs in Niphal.

Sorry there is no easy way to do this search. The roots are an added database and you cannot directly get a list of the roots found by a search. Therefore there is no such list to use as the basis of the second search. The search is always on the basis of the lexical forms.

What would be needed is another modification of the HITS command to grab the roots from the Hit list in the other window, and this could be added in the future.

Unfortunately, roots cannot be used in a HITS command, nor can you sort by root in an Analysis window, so the solution I'm giving is not perfect, but hopefully it will suffice.

I did a Construct search in which I placed an Adjective in the first column and a nifal verb in the second column. Then I placed an AGREE item over the two columns and specified agreement by any root. I also checked the search both directions checkbox. In the linked search window, I set the Scope to Book.

The search takes a while to complete, and it will miss any roots which only have an adjective and a nifal verb in separate books, but an Analysis will show you all the roots found.
