Possibility to use unicode marker or character for text citation?

I think most of people agree that Text citation is a very convenient function for paper writing. For the default citation markers is for English writing. I am wondering whether it's possible to support Unicode Markers and book names? For example, in Chinese writing we use 「 ... 」 instead of "... " . And of course the name of book we use Chinese instead of English.
