Using Greek texts along with English

When I open an English text (like ESV) in parallel with a Greek translation (like NA28), I have gotten accustomed to the behavior where as I hover over an English word, the Greek word is automatically highlighted.

 

I just purchased the LXX Rahlf's tagged and when I open the text in parallel with an English translation, the highlighting doesn't occur.  Am I missing something or is the LXX not an OT  equivalent product to the NT NA28?

 

On an additional note, can I get the LXX greek word to show up in instant details along with the Hebrew?

In the NT the Strong's key tagging is used to support cross-highlighting. In the OG there is no such tagging, but in 13 support was added to leverage the MT-LXX parallel or interlinear to provide the same feature. You can use either MT-LXX module to do this but you need one of them.

 

I don't know of a way to get ID to show Greek and Hebrew. It doesn't appear to work from the MT-LXX though I would guess it's in principle possible.

The Description of the MT-LXX interlinear says "It allows the user to display the Greek Septuagint text in an Interlinear with the morphologically tagged Hebrew Masoretic text,"

 

It isn't clear if it will give me an interlinear on English-Greek.  It seems like what I need is an English translation from the Septagint with Strong's tags, but I'm not seeing that. I see the Brenton translation, but no reference to Strong's.

 

I'm probably showing my ignorance here, but my goal is just to add color to New Testament studies by looking for how certain NT words are used in the LXX.

With just ESVS and LXX open you won't get cross-highlighting. But if you open ESVS, HMT-W4 and LXX you will see cross-highlighting in all three panes. I suspect that means that they highlight from English to Hebrew and then Hebrew to Greek. That said, it's probably a "simple matter of programming", as they say, to make the former work if there were enough interest.
