I am trying to export all the verbs from 1 John to an excel sheet for a translation project I'm working on. I know you're able to do that with Logos. I have tried to attach a screenshot of what it looks like from Logos but for some reason it's not uploading. Here is a copy and paste of the formatting. The top row is the name of the columns. The bottom row is the search results.

Resource Reference Result Part of Speech Lemma (Greek) Person (Logos Greek) Case (Logos Greek) Number (Logos Greek) Gender (Logos Greek) Tense (Logos Greek) Voice (Logos Greek) Mood (Logos Greek) Sense

NA28 1 John 1:1 ἦν verb εἰμί third person — singular — imperfect active indicative to exist

1. Do a verse search for 1 John

2. Drag the context slider to 0

3. Click in the text, then choose Select All from the Edit menu.

4. Go to the Amplify button of the Toolbar (or the Amplify menu at the top of the screen) --> Language --> Parsing

5. The Parsing window parses every word in 1 John. To limit it to verbs, choose Customize Display from the Gear menu.

6. In the dialog, choose Parts of Speech from the Parse pop-up menu.

7. Check Verb at the bottom of the dialog and click OK.

^^^ What David said ^^^

Also, another way to go about it that produces a list of words may be more helpful, depends on what you're doing.

1. Search for all verbs in 1John:   [VERB] <AND> [RANGE 1John]

2. In the Graph and Statistics dropdown button at the top right, select "Analysis"

3. You can customize this analysis list to be in alphabetical or number-of-hits order, as well as break each word down by inflected forms.

a. Select menu Display / Set Analysis Display…

b. Change the Sort order from the popup menu

c. Drag "Inflect" over to below the "Lex" in the right column and select OK.

I love the Analysis window.
