Choosing selected search results

I know there is a way to do what I'm asking, but I just can't recall, and I have searched this forum, help, and podcasts.

A generic example of what I'm trying to do:

I run a search and get 10 results.

Of those 10,the 1st, 3rd, 5-6th and 10th are the ones that interest me.

I want to select those ones, either to copy or to use in a new HITS search.

How do I select just those certain ones in the search results and get rid of the others?

Thanks.

What I do is go down the list of results and place a bookmark next to each of the verses that I want to keep.  I then go to "Selection" -> "Add Marked Verses to" -> "New Reference List."**  That opens a new window with only the verses that I placed a bookmark by.

** I think "New Reference List" is what it's called, but when I just tried to do this again to answer "mgvh" above, I couldn't get bookmarks to work in Josephus' Greek text.  (Actually, it's a little more complicated, so I'm about to make a new post in Windows Bug Swatters).  But after finally getting some bookmarks to stick, my "Add Marked Verses to" option was still grayed out under "Selection."  Thus, I can't assure might now that "New Reference List" is the exact name of the desired option.

Mark, TYA is correct.  As noted in the other thread, his specific test case in Josephus doesn't work, as apparently the Reference List is currently limited to biblical texts, but otherwise it should work fine.

The only other thing I wanted to discuss was your first post.  You say to use these in a HITS search.  Do you mean a CONTENTS?  If so, then you are fine, as CONTENTS can refer to the Reference List you have created.  If you intend a HITS search, aka, search the subset of your original set of hits to only include those found within the specified verses, this is slightly more complicated.  I can walk you through this is if you like, but I feel as though this isn't what you intend :)

Thanks, Joel! You were so helpful at SBL, and when I came home to try to repeat what you showed me, I couldn't recall. It seemed obvious when you did it!

And yes, CONTENTS is what I want to use to do a second level search on the reference list. That works fine.
