Multiple errors / issues / bugs with Stacks in 13.0.2

I revisited Stacks for the first time in forever, and instantly it became a blunder.  I created a brand new stack with a single clip from an article, then titled the Stack ("Star of David"), and put it into a new folder named likewise in my Library.

 

Then I went to add a second clip to this Stack by highlighting the text in another article, right-clicking, and selecting "Add to My Stack."  I got a bizarre error saying that the location of the stack had moved.  Um... I did go into the Library and drag the new stack I just created into the folder I created with the same name ("Star of David").  But why this error?  Clearly it's bogus, as we're talking about a brand new stack that I've barely done anything with.

 

And then the next problem: after finally getting the second article into this new stack, I tried to type a caption for it, and instead of the caption staying where I typed it--viz., the second clip in the stack, the caption went into the first clip in the stack, and erased the caption I had already written there.  See attached please.

Here is the attachment.  (Couldn't attach it initially because the forum crashed again).  The error reads,

 

The location of the file "My Stack.astack" has changed (or it has been deleted) since Accordance accessed this file the last time.

A kind reminder dear friends that I would like to be able to use stacks again (see above).  This is a very lovely feature in Accordance, and I was quite unpleasantly surprised about the bugs / glitches I reported above, which literally shut down my efforts to start a new stack a few weeks ago.  A complete "non starter" as one might call it.

 

Anyway, I know everybody is working hard, and thanks for all you do.  Just thought I'd pop in a reminder on this.

Can you send me the stack in question?

 

Do you recall where you renamed your "Star of David" stack?  Did you use the library, the "Rename Stack" option on the stack tab, or did you rename it in windows explorer?

 

In order to add to a stack, you have two options.  You can select and right-click and select "Add Selection to Stack "name_of_current_stack""  Where the name in quotation marks is the name of the current stack.  It sounds like you are trying to add to the stack "Star of David", but you still have the stack "My Stack" set as your current stack, and that the file for that stack has been deleted.  You want to open the "Star of David" stack, then use the gear menu to "Make Current Stack"

 

If you want to add something to a stack that isn't your current stack, select it, then use the "Selection" menu to select "Add Selection to Stack" and choose the stack that you want.

Update: I completely deleted the "Star of David" stack, and created it from scratch, brand new.  In the process, I encountered the following things:

 

1) Just as I documented regarding the new PDF Import in v.13, there are prohibitive error messages generated with regards to stacks.  Specifically, I followed this process (see screenshot #1), and received the error shown in that image (which is the same error mentioned in the post up above).

 

I thought I was at an impasse because of this error, but to my surprise, I closed the stack and then was able to reopen it, now with the additional content placed in it.  My hopes were getting up that this error message wasn't prohibitive, but just more of a "impotent notification." (I'm sure there are technical terms for these things, and you guys are just laughing at me now

 

2) But then Accordance crashed (see screenshot #2).  Down went my hopes.

 

3) But when I opened Accordance after the crash, it was as though the "smoke had cleared," and my new "Star of David" stack was there, with the second entry that I had just added; and it allowed me to type captions successfully (whereas I documented up above that this wasn't working), and to add yet another entry.

 

So in summary, to put it in totally non-technical terms, Accordance seems to have initially thrown a little "hissy fit" over me creating a new folder in the Stacks section of the Library, and moving my brand new stack there.  Accordance threw up an error, then crashed, but when I opened it after the crash, my stack was still there, and I no longer received errors / crashes when adding to it and editing it.

 

May I therefore suggest that this process isn't ideal?  Clearly, it stopped me from even really beginning a successful stack in the initial post up above.  I saw no reason to try and "push through" the error and crash.  It just seemed like a "non-starter" to me.  And clearly, this isn't what users should be facing.  Accordance Team: Please see the screenshots attached here.
