Hi,

1. Some of my short keys in Word are overlapped by accordance (for ex. Command-Option a). Is there a way to avoid this ?

2. Accordance asks often to have access to my system.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Yohanan

The system access requests are more of a function of macOS Catalina.

The grants in question are:

  • Accessibility: Don't know.
  • Full Disk Access: Would be very useful to Accordance to comment here, but if I had to guess, it's related to the copy-protection.
  • Files and Folders: allows the ability to access modules on your Mac, since you can place these in various places on your Mac.

Yohanan,

The messages are coming from the system in Catalina.  The accessibility is used with the Get Verses, so you can automate interactions with other word processors.  The full disk access is so we can install and update modules.  I do find Catalina is pretty buggy if you have multiple Accordance apps, so this may be causing you to get the messages more than once.

The Get Verses shortcut (Cmd-Opt-A) can be disabled in the preferences (Preferences -> Export -> Other), or have its shortcut changed to something else (Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts).
