Karl Karzelek
Since a few weeks I repeatedly get a dialog box after a certain amount of idle time of accordance, saying Please restart Accordance for the appearance change to fully take effect. I have no idea what is responsible for that. I don't change any settings and it doesn't have anything to do with module installations or upgrades. It just appears after I have been away from my Mac for a certain amount of time. That hasn't happened before. Does someone has an idea what is causing this? Dataduffy
I think this is if your Mac changes dark mode automatically. If you change to dark mode, or back, it asks you to restart.. Thanks John
Karl Karzelek
Oh, ok. That might be it. Well, that's still strange. But thanks for the idea.
Martin Shields
This does happen when Mac OS switches to or from dark mode if you have that selected in System Preferences. And of the many apps I have open, only Accordance makes such a complaint. Is there not some way for Accordance to behave like every other app and simply switch over automatically?
theblackbluejay
I'm having this problem as well. Glad to know that this is not an actual bug. But it would be nice if there were some way the my Mac could change to and from Dark Mode without making Accordance have a conniption, especially if it's not an Accordance display setting that is actually changing. Does anyone experience this problem if the transition to Dark Mode is turned off? Thanks!
Timothy Butler
It does seem like this should be considered a bug; I use all kind of Mac software and Accordance is the only one that cannot gracefully change from dark to light mode as the system automatically changes each day. And, it is intrusive how it pops up the prompt even when you are using something else and it bounces its icon until one clicks over to it.
kristan
I'm still getting this behaviour. It interrupts my workflow. I think it fits my category of bug too.
Anthony Estes
I've noticed that I'm not getting the notification (yay), but It's Accordance is not switching automatically to dark or light mode (not yay).
