Scott Brickert
Hi, I'm interested in purchasing this Accordance resource: Picture the New Testament: A PhotoCommentary But my question is, what percentage of the images are art, i.e. paintings, sculpture, etc. Art is an interpretation of an event, a person, a place etc. If the majority of images in this resource are art, that gives an idea of what the artist, and some segment of their culture, thought about the topic. It is "time-stamped" and "culture-stamped", embedded. Maps, location photos, archeological artifacts from the era, these would be more interesting than art. Maybe someone who has the resource would comment along these lines. Thanks, Scott
Joel Brown
Scott, sorry nobody replied to you sooner on this. Scanning through the resource, the overwhelming majority are photos of real locations and artifacts. Any art included is generally historical, like very old mosaics, such as a mosaic from Petra of two people bringing gifts, used to represent bringing aid to the saints in Romans 15:25.
