Mendel
Hi, I am doing a simple search on vowels, finding all words which have a qamatz followed by a dagesh letter. For this search I am using the following command: "=*ָ?ּ*" (dagesh is not displayed here for some reason). It works well but I want to exclude all words with הּ, so I use the command: <NOT> הּ. But this doesn't work to exclude it. Any ideas how to do it right? Edited February 2, 2020 by Mendel
Mendel
I found an answer, it's "=*הּ"

Joel Brown
Remember, the NOT command means that you don’t want to find places in the same Scope (verse, chapter, book, etc). If you are trying to specify a condition on a word, you want to use @- (@ representing a condition on the word, - representing negative).

Joel Brown
Exactly right. Though, as always, if things get too complex, I recommend designing the search in the construct. It's a lot cleaner and easier to visualize than depending on character strings.
