Hit / Navigation Arrows in Notes

TYA

Recommended Posts

Unless I'm missing something, the Notes in the current version of Accordance (13.0.4) will only show the number of hits for a given search, but will not provide up/down navigation arrows to bring you to the actual hit itself (as in all other resources).  How then am I supposed to find my search result?

For example, I have one particular note / entry in my Notes file in Accordance that is 6 pages long (when copied into MS Word).  That's a lot of information.  Since Accordance won't currently take me directly to the hit when I search for it, what am I supposed to do?  Read the whole thing manually?

Beloved Accordance Team: this is precisely the kind of thing that a Find on Page utility (universal to essentially every other Bible software and non-Bible software in existence) would perfectly and elegantly address--not only in this seeming paradox with Notes, but throughout Accordance (as has been requested for many years now).

So please, either add arrows in the Notes module, to allow us to navigate to our hits, or (actually and) delay no longer to provide this essential, vital feature of a Find on Page utility.

You have the biggest and best library in the world (as far as my wallet knows).  Help us find our way through it

TYA, Ctrl+Arrow keys helps you navigate note by note.  If you have the 'Show all text' checkbox disabled, then you are only seeing notes that have hits, though it does not currently scroll you to the actual place with the hit.  If you do have Show all Text checked, then you can find the notes with a hit highlighted in the Table of Contents.

This isn't the issue / question at all.  I have no problem finding notes.

This is exactly (and only) what I'm talking about.  Please get hit arrows in here, but more so, a "Find on Page" locator.  Should I go and reproduce the comments and "likes" from others who agreed to this (not that anyone in the universe would ever detract from something so obviously useful).

Thank you.
