Anyone Use PopChar or Similar for Original Language Unicode Special Characters

Typing in Greek or Hebrew along with English in Word, while doable, is tedious at best, especially when it comes to special characters. While they are mapped by various keyboard maps, who can keep them straight and recall them easily? Not me. 

 

This morning on a forum for music software someone mentioned how PopChar by Ergonis has proven useful for organizing, typing and recalling special characters buried in a Unicode font. Has anyone on this forum used such a program? Has it proven useful? 

 

I'm going to download the trial version at some point this week, but curiosity about the potential for users of this or similar programs has got the best of me.
