Text of the Book of Enoch?

Johannes

Recommended Posts

Hello,

does anyone know a digital version of 1Enoch in the internet in Greek and/or German that I can import as user bible in Accordance? (I know this module: https://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=PSEUD-TBut I invested some money in Accordance in the last days and I only need 1Enoch at the moment ;-)

And another question: Is there a cross reference tool in Accordance that shows links between the New Testament and apocrypha/pseudepigrapha? E.g.: Jude 14–15 -> 1 Enoch 1:9

Thanks!

Johannes

We have several modules of the Pseudepigrapha that contain 1Enoch, but Charles' should work well for you:

Our Comprehensive Cross-References module has cross-reference links to the Pseudepigrapha:

Thank you, Mark! I've edited my request a little bit ;-)

But thanks for the hint on the Comprehensive Cross-References tool – that looks very interesting!

There are a lot of places that have the Pseudepigrapha available online. Here's one:

https://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/boe/index.htm

A lot in German with footnotes, which still isn't allowed in Accodance for users. https://de.wikisource.org/wiki/Henochbuch_(oder_Erster_Henoch) And here the full catalog https://de.wikisource.org/wiki/Altjüdisches_Schrifttum_außerhalb_der_Bibel Unfortunately there are also not all in English available in Accordance to make User Bibles for the German. See this as a module, no plural, modules request.

But theres non to Enoch, 1Enoch, 2Enoch or I'm missing something?

They're there. You'll need to search for references to the Pseudepigrapha in the English Content field, or "All English". They're not actually Scripture references, so searching in the Reference or Scripture field won't find them.

Thanks, I've found it in  "All English", but I was guessing there are scripture references, so it shows up in the Info Pane.

Greetings

So the question is, why it doesn't show up by searching for scripture? Also Research didn't find it. Thats not good. Mark can you look into it?

Pseudepigraphal references are never tagged as Scripture in any of our Tools, unless it's specifically a Pseudepigraphal corpus.

Thanks. But incomprehensible if there are texts in Accordance that covers the passages. It there is no text, then it is understandable. Then it is a Module Request ;)

If every text in Accordance should count as "Scripture," then Josephus, Eusebius, Strabo, and Aristotle are "Scripture," which is surely not right.
