Dropbox (or iCloud) for main storage?

Hi,

 

I've searched the forums and online help but I haven't found the answer to this question:

 

I started using Accordance many years ago, and most of my files are stored on my laptop. I now do a lot of work on my office's computer. And, while syncing across Dropbox is fine for most things, I'm wondering if I can use Dropbox for my primary storage, and be able to "point to", or access, old workspaces from either home or work computer? (I can't access old workspaces from my work computer, because they're on my home computer!)
