How do I sort Bible references?

I have a list of Bible references starting like this:

 

 Num. 7:12; Acts 17:18; Zech. 14:15; 2 Cor. 5:2; 1 Cor. 14:12 ...

 

I need to sort them into the order of the Bible books.

 

So far I can paste all the references into the Accordance Search bar and get all the verses required in the main window, but there seems to be no option to sort the search results into Bible order.

 

I had a look in Accordance but couldn't see a quick way, so am currently having to use a Custom Sort in a spreadsheet which is very long-winded, and only partially successful.

 

Was there a quick way in Accordance that I missed?

Hi Stephen,

 

Try this, it works for me: copy the references into the search pane to bring up the verses. They come up in the order that you put them in. Then, select all, and right click on "add selection to" and "new reference list tab"; you should now get the verses in the order of the Biblical text you're using. You can then select all and copy as "references".

Much quicker than doing it manually!
