Please make foreign language Bibles accessible to pop-up dictionary

When I'm reading a foreign-language document or webpage, my Mac allows me to right click on a word to access a pop-up dictionary. It sure would be nice if I could do that with my foreign language Bibles in Accordance.

I would like to see this to on the Mac, by force pressing or in the Look Up menu. Accordance 13 didn't add it, but I don't know if it was requested.

You can use the system dictionaries on iOS. This is one of the reasons I prefer to read on it.

A feature like this is something you can do in BibleWorks. It was a user-created feature where right-clicking on a word allowed you to create a link to that word. E.g., when reading a German Bible text, I could right click on the word, and I set up a link to the Collins Dictionary online to get the translation. So, it was not a popup, but it was a quick way to get the translation. Since Accordance has the web browser now built in, that might be a way of doing it.

The link looked like this:

http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/german-english/<dummy>?show

<dummy> was the word that I clicked on in the German text that was passed through to the Collins site.

Collins also does French. I also had links for Latin.

So, did your search return Strohmann?

I couldn't resist.  ;)

Solly (looking at Langenscheidt's  dictionary for the first time in decades)

Here's what I'm thinking of as a workaround. Unfortunately you cannot drag/drop text from a text pane into the browser. Another option would be to open up a Google Translate window in the browser.
