User Tool Edit Window Text Display Size

I'm running Mac OS 10.15.4 with Accordance 13.0.4.

I just upgraded to V. 13 yesterday.

I've imported a large PDF file, a new bible text with annotations.

I need to "clean up" the PDF import.

When I open the Edit Window for my new User Tool the text appears visually as roughly a size 6 font.

It's too small to edit effectively.

I can find no way to increase the size of the text -

other than highlighting a portion of it, changing the font size,

editing that portion, changing the font size back to match the rest of the text, etc........

There is no "Set User Edit Window Display" option,

and there is no Aa text option in the Edit window.

I need to increase the view size of the text so I can actually work with it.

My document is 2605 pages long.

I cannot simply resize the text of the entire document using the "select all" option.

I only get to Genesis 8 with that move.

This means I'd have to highlight each section individually and then edit that section

before moving on to the next section.

Is there ANY way to increase the text display size in the User Tool Edit Window???

Accordance Preferences don't work for this.

I had attempted to import this as a User Bible

by updating a previous HTML version that's been extensively updated.

That's proven to be a total nightmare.

I'm NOT a computer Geek - at age 76.......

The PDF option at least allows me to get this into Accordance again in some form.

I'm not sure how well I'll be able to work with it in the PDF form, but will see - hopefully.

Thanks for your kind assistance!

Thanks for your report, Obed!  Generally the text would only be that small in the edit window if it were that small in your source pdf.  Is this possible?

There isn't currently a way to bulk-resize all of the font sizes in a user tool, while maintaining the relative font sizes.  You can change the size of the text when displaying the tool, but that doesn't affect the editor.

Is it possible to increase the size of your pdf text before importing into Accordance?

Thanks Joel,

My PDF file is 2605 pages long.

Increasing the text size, it's currently a 9 point Arial text, will dramatically increase the size of the document.

That causes me to be concerned about exceeding the potential size limits for importing it into Accordance.

I wasn't sure it would import even at this size.

Fortunately it did.

Second, while the original is a 9 point text size what shows up in the edit window is only around a 5-6 point text size.

The cursor in the User Tool Edit Window is 4-5 times taller than the text in the edit window.

It's no where near that in the original document - more like 1.5-2 times the height of the text.

This make any attempt at editing without increasing the text size virtually impossible.

Other windows/text panes/etc. in Accordance have ways to increase the text size.

Even the normal Shift+/Shift- for Macs does not work to change the text size.

That's a problem in my view.

I'd be very surprised if others haven't encountered this same issue.

I'm not a computer programmer.

I tried very hard to create a User Bible with the information given in Accordance,

creating an HTML coded text.

I have a phrase in my text that repeats approximately 3520 times.

This phrase consistently comes up telling me I have an error in my coding.

It does NOT give me a verse reference, so i cannot go to a specific verse to see what the problem is.

I've reviewed EVERY ONE of those recurring phrases -

but I  cannot find ONE of them that does not have the suggested code missing.

Frankly, I gave up!

I bought the upgrade to V. 13. hoping I might be able to import the PDF file.

That worked, with the exception of the "clean-up" that's now needed.

I'm 76.

I don't learn things quickly at this stage in life.

I buy software to help me do things I cannot do.

I've used Sandvox to create my own website.

I type a page, copy and paste it into Sandvox, and it produces the page for my site.

If I could write HTML code I wouldn't need that program.

If you want to see my PDF file you can go to my website, www.amarel.com.

There's nothing for sale there, so I'm not "self-promoting".

When you get there you'll see a "book cover" for The Aleph-Tau Bible.

Simply click on that cover - it is a link to the PDF.

You can then download the PDF file FOR FREE!

Then you can see firsthand what it is.
