David Foster
I just heard yesterday, during one of the webinars, that in version 13.05 you can use 'command R' to bring up a new research tab (they said it was the default shortcut set in preferences). However, when I did it, it brings up the set range box. Thanks kindly!
Solly
The presenter does not use 'command R' for setting the range box, so he used the the Preferences—> Keyboard shortcuts to remove 'command R' from 'Define Range' (under Search Menu section) and then assign it to 'New Research Tab' (under File Menu section). —Solly
Mark Allison
You're correct that Command-R is currently the shortcut for setting a range. However, you can change Command-R to open a Research Tab instead by: 1) select "New Research Tab" in the Keyboard Shortcut preferences, 2) click "Modify Shortcut" 3) Enter the desired shortcut 4) Click "OK"
