This morning while trying to resolve a count issue, I noticed that the Qere is missing from BHQ

The Qere is in the Commentary module of the BHQ, not inside the Text as with the HMT-W4.

The Qere is in the Commentary module of the BHQ, not inside the Text as with the HMT-W4.

HMT-W4 includes the Qere in the text (and does not have a textual commentary like the BHQ does). The textual commentary is a new feature of BHQ.

Additionally, the textual commentary follows the commentary of the printed volumes which frequently do not mention the Qere (and even when mentioned, the Qere is not always indicated). Take for example the textual commentary of Deut. 13:16 which has a Qere reading  that is not mentioned at all in the commentary.

(Deuteronomy 13:16 Hebrew Masoretic Text with Westminster Hebrew Morphology)

(Deuteronomy 13:16 Biblia Hebraica Quinta (Untagged))

13:16 וְאֶת־בְּהֶמְתָּהּ לְפִי־חָרֶב׃   G most likely represents one of the contractions which characterizes the LXX form of Deuteronomy (11QTa 55:7–8 follows M here, apart from the addition of כול). The motives underlying G’s omission may be summarized as follows: the “cattle” are already included in “all that is in it,” which occurs earlier in the verse; “with the edge of the sword” is already expressed; the formal inclusion of “cattle” contradicts 2:34–35 and 3:7 (Ehrlich, Randglossen, 2:289, also maintains the primacy of M here). V represents a partial facilitation in omitting the repetition of “with the edge of the sword.” The text of 4QDeutc is fragmentary, and more likely follows M than V.

BHQ also has an apparatus. You should be able to open an apparatus, and the commentary next to the text.

Meant to add this as well

I wasn't expecting to find the Qere in the apparatus as it is not include in the BHS apparatus. However, it does seem to be consistently included in the BHQ apparatus in both the electronic and printed editions.

It was an editorial choice when they started BHQ as a project. I cannot wait for the rest of it to come out!!!!
