I know we can get it piece meal in the 'For Everyone' Commentary series, but you can also buy just the Scripture as a hard bound book. Having it as a Bible translation would be great. ukfraser Posted July 23, 2020 Share Posted July 23, 2020 (edited) Its been requested many times, but i would prefer it to be the complete bible with goldingay's ot as well. lots of justification for it as it would sit as a text rather than tool. so plus 1 ps, its also slightly updated to the text in the 'everyone' series. Thanks Richard In the case of Goldingay's publishers, they simply refuse to license digital rights to anyone, and they didn't give us an explanation. However, there are publishers who believe that they'll lose money if they sell a digital version of a printed work, perhaps due to piracy, or being forced to sell a digital format at a lower cost, etc. However, some publishers will eventually license digital rights once they feel that they've recouped a significant part of their investment from print sales. Because of that, we never give up completely, and we'll continue to contact Goldingay's publisher with requests. In the case of the Kingdom New Testament, we've actually completely developed the module, but NT Wright's publisher decided they don't want to allow overseas sales. We don't put limits like that on anything we distribute, so it's a sticking point right now. Hopefully that will change, and we won't give up on that either. I was just curious because I find it interesting to learn about the author, publisher, licensing and digital rights side of things. Thanks for clarifying that.
