Raspberry Pi Support

I’m not currently seeing a way to run Accordance on a Raspberry Pi. I think this would be a wonderful selling point for your software as the new Raspberry Pi 4 can run two 4K monitors and the base price for the Raspberry Pi 4 is $35.

 

Personally, I would find this very helpful as a way to display my study tools on a large screen without the distractions found on my personal computer.

 

Ideally, I would download all my Accordance purchases and then remove internet access from the Raspberry Pi 4 so that it becomes a distraction free study environment dedicated to the Accordance software.

 

Reach Goal: Ideally, there would be an Pi OS download that would come with Accordance pre-installed so that all I would have to do is sign in to Accordance and download my software.

 

Anyone else have thoughts about this? Is this already possible somehow? Please let me know!

I haven't tried this and am new here. But, technologically it seems possible to do so to install the Android version of Accordance via Anbox on Linux, which is what you normally run on Raspberry Pi such as Raspbian.

Note: Anbox enables one to run Android app on Linux. Since Android uses the Linux kernel, Anbox take advantage of this to do that. It is not perfect but for those that runs it is as if it is run on native hardware (again because the kernel is the same.)

Hi, no expert here at all, but a cursory search seems to indicate you can install windows 10 on a Pi. If that’s the case (and please hear me I am no expert, I have never done it, and have only ever used raspbian on my small attempts at rapsnerry Pi fun) then you can run full accordance I would think. Though it would also increase the cost significantly from $35..

A Raspberry Pi doesn't use the same processor (ARM not Intel/AMD). I checked into it a bit and it looks like it's version aimed at Internet of Things rather than a full DT version, which makes sense given what the Pi is normally used for. You cannot run Windows on Raspberry Pi. There’s a special version for IoT that cannot run your usual Windows software.

 

There’s a way to emulate x86 to install Windows, but that’s for fun, and takes on the order of an hour to boot into Windows.

 

The only practical way I’m aware of to run Accordance is through Anbox. Technically it is possible because of the Linux kernel. And you got to run the Android version of Accordance. There’s a sight chance that it might not work due to the experimental nature of Anbox, but those I tested personally works.

 

By the way, I’m interested in knowing if anyone is able to install Accordance desktop windows version through wine on Linux. Note that this is irrelevant to this discussion because that is x86/x64 and Raspberry Pi is arm64.
