JonathanHuber
Any book kind of resource works just fine, such as the Carta Bible atlas, the Holman atlas, etc. Some study bibles like the ESV Study Bible also have a lot of great maps and reconstructions. If you're looking for pictures of places, the Accordance Photoguide works great on iOS. Interacting with image-heavy resources is nicer on iOS than the Mac due to the touch interface.
R. Mansfield
My favorite is the Holman Bible Atlas. Best looking maps in my opinion--especially for teaching.
ukfraser
I agree with richard about the holman bible atlas as its cartography is the best and its brilliant on an ipad. On ios, IF you want it to scroll with the bible text, then you may want to consider the holman illustrated study bible. Its not very good as a study bible but it does have most of the maps from the holman bible atlas but it has the major advantage that it scrolls with the bible text, the maps are better than esv study bible, but As suggested by jonathan, the esv study bible does have good maps and excellent notes so i still tend to use it more. (If you attend a webinar, you can get a discount off it or wait till its on offer. ) https://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=Holman+Illustrated+SB
