Copying Greek with Unicode into Mellel separates combined accent marks

Copying from a Greek text into Mellel when Unicode is turned on in the “Export” prefereneces separates the breathing mark from the accent when the breathing mark and the accent are over the same character. See screen shot for the words ἴδε and αἴρων

Yes, I also see this issue in Mellel 5.0.4 using Accordance 13.1.4.

I've noticed similar problems as of late. Normally when you copy and past unicode Greek, whole words are not broken up by accents or breathing marks (i.e., if you double click on a word, it highlights the whole word, not just the part before or after the accent). For the last 2-3 months, this has no longer been the case when copying and pasting from Accordance. I think it's a bug that was introduced when some changes were made to the way unicode was broken up.

 

I would really like to see this fixed, as I work with unicode Greek and Mellel on practically a daily basis! Accordance is the only Bible program I've been seeing that has this problem.

I'm inclined to think the problem is in Mellel, not Accordance.

 

The reason I think this, is that when I paste anywhere else, I do not have the problem.  For instance, if I paste here in the forum message box, I get:

 

 

 

John 1,29 ¶ Τῇ ἐπαύριον βλέπει τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἐρχόμενον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ λέγει· ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ ὁ αἴρων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου.

 

The accent and breathing marks above look correct, and double click selects the whole word.  Same with Pages, and TextEdit. 

 

All that's happening when you copy is Accordance adds data to the clipboard.  If two apps respond differently, it's because they interpreted the same data in different ways.   So if you have the same problem pasting into many apps, the problem is probably with the app that is adding the data.  But if you only have the problem when pasting into one app, the problem is probably with the app receiving the data.

Okay. This new release of Mellel 5 has some display bug issues too. Now, I have to find out how to contact them. 

 

Similarly, when copying and pasting to Mellel 5, it changes the font to HelveticaNeue, no matter what font was set in the source text. When I copy and paste into Pages, the font copies over as well.
