David Trotz Posted June 12, 2009 Share Posted June 12, 2009 I recently purchased a ton of resources from Accordance for my new MacBook Pro. I am really enjoying the software and all the resources. I have a small dilemma though, I feel a bit guilty having this wealth of resources at my fingertips and not sharing it with the rest of my family (mainly my wife). I am curious what is allowed and isn't. From what I understand from the license I can put Accordance on more than one computer so long as its for a single user. So I have it on both my desktop and laptop at the moment and I am wondering if I can let my wife use the software on my desktop (while I am not using it on my laptop). I really don't want to pay for a second license for all of those resources but I also do not want to violate the terms of the license I do have. Can the Accordance folks clarify this for me? David Lang Posted June 12, 2009 Share Posted June 12, 2009 David, It's fine to have Accordance on both computers, provided both you and your wife are not using it at the same time. Even that "same time" language is not an absolute. If you use Accordance the bulk of the time to prepare sermons and your wife uses it occasionally for personal Bible study, we promise not to raid your home if you happen to be doing those things at the same time. The language is basically designed to prevent situations like a pastor and assistant pastor or a professor and a student both using one copy of Accordance for what is essentially two separate uses.
