ryangeer
The last time I opened my BHS, all the spaces were missing and the text was scrunched together - I set the text pane preferences unchecking "hide spaces" (how it got checked i've no idea) and (after the 3rd time opening it) made this the default setting... however, all of my original language texts now have this same issue. Somehow, this "hide spaces" box has been defaulted for them all. How did this happen? Is there a way to set this universally? Once again, this is probably a no brainer question - I just can't figure out how this was changed. Thanks for any help.
David Lang
Ryan, You can set this universally in the Text Display settings of the Preferences. I suspect you probably had that open at some point and inadvertently clicked the Hide spaces checkbox. Uncheck it there, and every new window will have spaces again. ryangeer
That is a logical explanation and one I had looked at... the box isn't checked. If I open up the GNT-TIS, for example, (which I did just now after double checking the universal preferences) the text appears w/o spaces. Should've included this:
Helen Brown
I have never seen this problem, but I suggest you reset this in Preferences to Hide spaces, click OK, and then go back and reset it to not hide them. It will, of course, override any individual text preferences you have set. the other option is to restore the user/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences from a recent backup.
