Linking to a volume+page in Anchor Bible Dictionary?

I'm trying to figure out how to create a link in my user tool to a specific high level article in Anchor Bible Dictionary. Then "Entry" field has too many hits for an article like "Death" or "Resurrection", even for something more specific like "Parousia".

I'd be fine using pages numbers (I think), but I cannot seem to identify the volume + page number search scheme in ABD. Searching for 680, for example, returns 15 hits for the various volumes that have a page 15... fantastic! Except I cannot seem to figure out how to enter that scheme into the search box, let alone a User Notes link.

I'm also facing this same struggle with the AN modules.

Any hints?

thanks,

Mike

Mike, probably the easiest way to create a unique link is to use some of the text of the article and link to the English Content field. For example, I can link to the main article on Death like this:

[Anchor, English Content, subject of death in the OT and in the NT]

If you want to use the volume and page number, you need to use an asterisk wildcard in place of any punctuation, since punctuation is not searchable in tools. So, for example:

[Anchor, Page Number, II * 108]

will take you to volume II, page 108.

I hope this helps. By the way, I'm currently playing with a nifty little feature in the upcoming 8.3 that will make creating these links much easier.
