HELP FILES

What I would like with Accordance is an exhaustive & easy to use help system. For example, I brought up the GNT-PAP and found unexplained symbols on the screen. I went to help & got nothing. The text info says to read the "GNT-PAP read me first" file. I searched with spotlight; no such file in the Mac. I went to the Read-me's folder of Accordance, no such read me first file. I find Accordance a very frustrating program. You should be able to just type the symbols in the help program & up would come the answer.

I have discussed the missing Read Me file in answer to your other similar post.

 

Since each module may have its own set of abbreviations, there is no way that these can all be incorporated into the Help files. Most abbreviations in tool modules hypertext to the table of abbreviations, and display the full text in the Instant Details.

 

The GNT-PAP is a special case and a very complex group pf modules. We will try to answer your questions in that other topic.

The file was installed in my "Read Mes" folder, with the name "GNTPAP - Read me first" (note the lack of a hyphen in "GNTPAP"). This is indeed not found by Spotlight-ing "GNT-PAP read me first" (and so should be corrected in the text info).
