rdknudsen
How do I see what the footnotes are in the ESV text. I've just got the letters there, and putting my cursor over them doesn't do it. This is probably a very simple answer but I haven't figured it out yet. Thanks. DK
Helen Brown
You are correct that footnote markers don't hyperlink in the Bibel text (though they do in tools). Simply add a Reference tool pane with the ESV Notes and another if you want it with the ESV Crossreferences. You will find both on the menu under the button with the blue book and green plus sign on the right side of the search window (add Reference Pane button). Each pane will scroll to sync with the verse at the top of the text pane. In addition, whichever module is at the top of the Reference tools in the Library window (Window menu) will appear in Instant Details if you press the command key when the mouse is over the verse reference in the text, and in a separate tab if you triple-click on the reference. That's the problem with Accordance: so many different ways to accomplish the same task.
rdknudsen
do the ESV footnotes and cross references only come with the ESV pack or should I have them if I only purchased the text? I found the reference tools but I don't have any ESV tools listed. Sorry I just got back to the forum to see your reply thanks for the help. Helen Brown
If you use the installer (which we always recommend), it will install the ESV Notes and ESV Crossrefs along with the text, whether you have the plain ESV or the ESVS.
