User Bible or Tool?

Is there a way for me to link the key numbers in my user tool to my existing strongs concordance?

Here is an example of what I have

Matthew 22:1 And(G2532) Jesus(G2424) answered(G0611) and spake(G2036) unto them(G0846)
again(G3825) by(G1722) parables(G3850), and said(G3004)

I use BBEdit to make most of my user tools, so is there some code I could use to make this happen?

Chris, I don't believe we support embedding Strong's numbers in user texts or user tools, but if you don't mind the Strong's numbers appearing in the text like you've shown in your example, you could easily select the Strong's number and then amplify to one of your Strong's dictionaries by choosing it from the Greek tools pop-up of the Resource palette. Accordance will automatically recognize it as a Strong's number and search the appropriate field.

Hope this helps.

Chris,

You also need not enter the key numbers manually like you have shown. Remember that you can select any portion of a key number text and then click "Parse" on the Resource Palette. Accordance will generate a [tab-delimited] table with the words, key numbers, and other information. You can then copy and paste it into your user tool. You can also choose which information Accordance displays in the parsing table by typing Cmd-T once it's open.

Have fun! :-)

Thanks Timothy,

I didn't realize that. However, I keep a "custom" keyed KJV text user bible in a text file so that time to time I can do a crude search and replace of the key number with an English word that helps me explore new concepts of the way different verses would read. What I decided to do was to go back into the text superscript all of the key numbers and simply hide the supercripts in the text display window. It's crude, but it works for my needs.
