Lynn
Hello, I am working on an assignment in which I need to find all of the occurrences of the word divorce (or any word like it, such as divorces, divorced, etc.) in the Works of Josephus and Philo. First, what's the best way to search for various forms of the same word? Second, these books have multiple volumes within them. Is there a way to search all volumes at once, or will I only be allowed to search them one at a time? Thank you, Lynn S. Hamilton, MA
Helen Brown
Yes, within one module you will normally search all the "books" unless you narrow the range. You can also link two tabs together so that, for example, the Josephus tab has the argument [LINK Philo} and will automatically do the same search as is entered in the Philo tab. To search for forms of a word use a wildcard such as the asterisk: divorc*. There are details of the search symbols and commands in the Help files under Advanced Searches.
