Variants in unicode

Hello,

I have my greek and hebrew settings to "export all as unicode."

This works great for the greek and hebrew. However, when I copy a line of textual variants from the NA27 Apparatus, there are a bunch of characters which are lacking:

⸀ -σεσθε P66 ℵ A D W Θ Ψ

Yes, we do substitute the regular letters for the gothic P and M since there are no standard Unicode characters for these.

Hello Helen,

Ok, to follow up just a little bit more, I was looking at this website:

http://en.foursenses.net/textcriticismsigns

And it lists the unicode symbols which produce the gothic P and M (1d50a and 1d510) (𝔊 and 𝔐). So, it seems as if there are 'codes' for them. So, why aren't there unicode fonts which support these glyphs?

This is an area in which I have very little knowledge. So, I hope you'll be a little more patient with my questioning.

Thanks Helen,

The problem is that these characters are in 32bit Unicode only, which is not supported in many programs.
