Requirements for iphone/ipad app

Hello,

 

I have tried to search for the answer to this question, so if it is out there and I missed it, please accept my apology. I see that Accordance 9 is out and that the iphone app will soon be released. I am just wondering if the iphone app needs Accordance 9 in order to work, or will it work on version 8? I also have a second question which may be premature, but is there any indication yet of how much this app will cost?

Bev, I can't answer the first question definitively, but I am pretty sure you will have to have Accordance 9 to use the iOS app. The app will be free to owners of Accordance 9, that much has been announced.

This isn't an official response, but I think you'll need Accordance 9 to sync your purchased modules to the iPhone/iPad. You'll definitely need Acc. 9 if you want to sync your notes.

The app does not require any version of Accordance to run. PC users can use it, Linux users can use it, computer-less users can use it. Modules can be downloaded directly and not require syncing. Accordance 9 will be required, though, to directly sync computer-to-iOS device. This has three advantages: 1) Almost all of our modules are available for download, but not 100%. We are working on that, but until then, there would still be a few that require syncing to install. 2) User Notes can only be shared via the syncing. 3) Saves bandwidth and time. Stuff downloads much faster across a local WiFi network than over the internet, or worse, over 3G or EDGE.

Thanks to all who posted an answer to my question. I appreciate the assistance so much!! Now I know exactly what direction I need to go in.. It will be wonderful to have Accordance on my ipad!
