Brad Pribbenow
I'm searching for a solution to a problem that I'm guessing is fairly obvious--maybe I've overlooked something. I'd like to be able to set two Bible text windows side-by-side to compare their content. For example, 1. I'd like to compare the quote of Joel 2:28-32 in Acts 2:17-21 with the actual text in Joel 2:28; or 2. I'd like to compare the text of Exodus 34:14-16 with Numbers 25:1-3 I cannot break the "linked" movement between my different text windows. Am I missing something obvious in this? Helen Brown
Press the option key each time you scroll, and you will scroll only the selected pane. This lets you line up two panes any way you want.
Brad Pribbenow
Hi Helen: Thanks for the quick reply. The option-click/scroll doesn't seem to work. Both texts continue to scroll the same. Plus, what if I want to take the 2nd text window to another text multiple books away (e.g. from the OT to the NT, etc.)? Do I have to scroll that whole distance? Brad
Helen Brown
Sorry, it's the control key not the option. If you enter the two passages in your verses search it will be easier to scroll to the other passage.
Brad Pribbenow
Excellent! That worked perfectly. I'm not able to use my touchpad to scroll--I have to use the down/up arrows on the scroll bar on the right side of the window(s). But it scrolls perfectly this way. Thanks! Erwin
I am trying something along these lines that I was shown at the SBL recently, was quite simple, but I forgot. How to I display in the same workspace a GNT text and a LXX text in the other window, or a GNT text in one pane, a Fathers text in the other one within the same workspace? Helen Brown
In either case you need to have the text in separate tabs, but in version 9 you simply drag one tab to the edge of the workspace to create a new zone with that tab.
