resizing issues

I am having a slight issue: I have different outboard monitors at home and office, as such, I have to resize screens when I pull things over to the outboard screens.

Recently this has become jerky and hesitant and, a couple of times, impossible to do.

I usually move the workspace and floating pallets ( Have I mentioned I don't care for the way those work-smile ) and after the moves, then use the right lower corner to resize the workspace as needed.

Again, this IS NOT a huge issue, just something that has come up that I thought you should be aware of and, if there was something I needed to do to correct it, then I wanted to know that.

Next: Is there a way to use all my tools and resources in Accordance without using the palletsother than instant details? ( saves screen space on macbook, makes moving workspace easier)

Thanks so much.

Well, as far as the window moving and resizing, I can't suggest much except for the green zoom button on the window to automatically fill the available space. This will account for the screen and palettes, if any.

For removing palettes, everything on the palettes is available in the menus or right-click. If you don't want to use the Library or Resource palette to open a new resource, you can open that resource by type on the File -> New menu. You can amplify to the resource palette either with the right-click menu or Amplify menu on the menubar. The text palette's contents are all on the Display menu. Really, the only thing that I do't think has a non-palette replacement is the Highlight palette.

Its very possible to completely eschew the palettes, its just a matter of whats easiest. For me, I'd rather keep track of a palette's position and have it there and available than depend on other menus, but thats just me.

Actually, Joel, you can highlight using the contextual menu as well as the palette.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

Thanks Guys, I will explore that and see how it works for me when in 13" mode on my macbook.
