Copying Citation with superscript verse numbers

What's the simplest work-around to copying a citation with superscript verse numbers? I read that the clipboard can't keep superscript formatting. Is that a Mac thing or an accordance thing because I'm sure I used to copy verses out of e-Sword with superscript verse numbers on my PC?

Also I find that when copying as citation it leaves the first verse number out. Have I got a setting wrong?

It is a Mac thing that the clipboard deosn't retain the superscript style.

The first verse number is deliberately omitted from a citation.

Interesting. I can copy and paste text containing superscripts in other apps (and between other apps) and the superscripts remain intact on pasting.

Really? I can copy text including superscript from a Pages document to a Word document without any problem on my Mac.

Why? Why would I want every other verse number in the quote but not the first verse?

I do not understand why you say it is a Mac clipboard problem. I can copy superscripts from Pages to either Word or to Mail with no problem. In fact, I can copy from BibleWorks running under Parallels and paste into Pages or Mail and the superscripts are retained. So it appears that the Mac clipboard does support superscript copy.

I have already put this (and some other things) into a request for new capabilities - and this feature would be HIGH on my list, since one of the most important things I do is copy text into Pages or Keynote, and having to manually superscript verse numbers is time consuming.....
