hyperlink reference cannot be found

How do I link a usertool from a user note?

 

When I copy the link from the user tool ( [Lords_Supper_Ylvisaker, Content, *] ) then, when I click on it in the user notes window I get the dreaded "hyperlink reference cannot be found" error.

 

Am I missing something?

Last I knew, links to tools were not supported in User Notes, only in User Tools. I'm hoping that will change one of these days.

I too tried linking from a User Tool to a User Note in a variety of forms with no luck... I'm guessing you cannot.

 

I know there was talk about a year before Accordance 9 came out regarding an added Feature that functionally would replace User Notes, but I've heard nothing since then despite frequent poking and prodding.

I had just assumed that since you could put a link into a user tool, you could then also put that same link into a user note. Thanks for the clarification.

 

And I agree, this would be a good idea for an added feature in the future. I tried to add a section that I scanned in from one of my books into my user notes. And it said there were too many words. So then I made a user tool from the text I scanned in from the book. Then when I add a link from the user tool, the link doesn't work. Agreed, definitely agreed, it would be good to have full access to linking.
