Easy Install timeout

Lance

Recommended Posts

Hi,

For a few weeks now EasyInstall has been trying to download a couple of updates, notably Atlas at 480MB. Every time it tries for several minutes before returning an error about no internet connection. I take it this means it's timing out.

Is there a solution? Thanks.

During the download, do you see the progress bar moving, and progressing? If so, does it always stop at the same place? Does it resume if you try again right afterwards? Finally, what version of Accordance are you running (your sig says 9.3.2)?

Thanks Joel. My sig was out of date as usual ;) Now fixed ...

I think it does always get to the same point in the worm display. I've never caught it in the act of stopping the download, so don't know what it would look like immediately after. But it always look the same when I find it later.

Here are two screenshots for during and after:

Lance was able to complete the download by restarting Accordance after a timeout or if the download seemed stuck. The download resumed until the file was complete. This works as long as you do not restart the Mac itself, which does wipe the temporary files so then you are starting over each time.
