Brian Pratt
Hi I have recently upgraded to iMac (Lion) and migrated Accordance from MB Pro (Lion). The program is running well, but when I try to update to v 9.4.2 it tells me "Your user does not have permissions to download update. The permissions in the Accordance folder my be changed by opening Get Info in the Finder" I have been into all the ACC folders I can find and changed the permissions to RW - with the same message and no success Is there an easy fix for this? I noted Helen indicated on another forum - which I cannot find now - that there were some difficulties in migrating with Lion. BP
Helen Brown
You need to find the Library/Application Support/Accordance, do Get Info on the folder, and reset the permissions at the bottom of the window so that you are the owner and have Read/Write permission. Then use the gear menu to apply that to all the contents. There are two Library/Application Support locations, one on the Hard Drive which should allow any user on the computer to access the files and run Accordance (but only the owner can install to it). The other is in the user or Home area. Accordance should be in one of these locations, but not both. If you are on Lion, or migrated from another computer, that folder may belong to the system or to another user. If you are on Lion you will be unable to see the Library of the user unless you press Option and open the Go menu. ------------- This is my prepared answer, obviously you are on Lion. I hope it helps.
