Write Permission error after upgrading

After upgrading to 9.4.2 I am getting the error below. I don't know if it actually has to do with my upgrade though.

The error pops up six different times naming various files. Where are these files located so I can attempt to change the permissions?

After I click on OK Accordance runs fine but I have to deal with this every time I restart.

Thanks.

You need to find the Library/Application Support/Accordance, do Get Info on the folder, and reset the permissions at the bottom of the window so that you are the owner and have Read/Write permission. Then use the gear menu to apply that to all the contents.

There are two Library/Application Support locations, one on the Hard Drive which should allow any user on the computer to access the files and run Accordance (but only the owner can install to it). The other is in the user or Home area. Accordance should be in one of these locations, but not both.

If you are on Lion, or migrated from another computer, that folder may belong to the system or to another user. If you are on Lion you will be unable to see the Library of the user unless you press Option and open the Go menu.

Helen,

Thank you for the quick and thorough response.

I followed the instructions and am still getting the same error.

About a month ago I did migrate over to a new MacBook using Migration Assistant. Both my old and new MacBook's were runing Lion during the transfer. However, I just started receiving this error message the other day and I believe the only change I've made is upgrading to 9.4.2. I've also ran Onyx in the past few days, do you think that could have messed things up when it tried to repair write permissions?

Thank you for the help,

To whom does the folder called Accordance belong? Does that person have read/write permission, and have you applied it to all enclosed items? Are you sure the other Library/Application Support doesn't have a second copy of that folder?

When I checked who the Accordance folder belonged to, it belonged to 'system'. I added myself to the permissions list, made myself the owner, and then made sure that read/write was applied to all enclosed items. I rebooted my computer and now things are fine

Thank you for your excellent support. You folks are always quick to respond and be of assistance. I appreciate it very much!

Yes, we see that a lot after migrating or upgrading. Lion has its own ideas about permissions.

Thanks for the kudos.
