circuitrider
I would like to find a good Hebrew word study reference. At present I have no knowledge of Hebrew. However, having started back to theological studies in college I will eventually begin Hebrew. With such limited knowledge would I be able to glean from the HALOT at this point? If so I'll just buy it now and save some money. If not what would be a recommendation for someone with no Hebrew knowledge to start off with? Thank you for the help! Jeremy Brannon
I have made use of NIDOTTE with very little knowledge of Hebrew. I'd recommend it highly!
Ed Heckman
I have made use of NIDOTTE with very little knowledge of Hebrew. I'd recommend it highly! Ditto for me.
Helen Brown
I would also recommend TWOT.
Greg Terry
Both TWOT and NIDOTTE are very good resources, but if I could pick only one, it would be NIDOTTE. The breadth of the articles is quite good and cover more than just meanings of the words. There is quite a bit of background material and theology in the articles. Really a nice resource for teachers or small group leaders, too.
