Rick Yentzer
My interest lies in the wisdom books, Psalms, Proverbs, Job and Ecclesiastes. What Accordance resources would you recommend for in-depth learning of these specific books? I currently have the Library Premier and IVP collection. Thanks, Rick
AdamR
Sadly, my favorite resources for these books aren't available in Accordance. Psalms: James Mays' Interpretation commentary; J. Clinton McCann's New Interpreter's Bible commentary; John Goldingay's 3-volume Baker commentary; "Interpreting the Psalms" by Patrick D. Miller Proverbs: Richard J. Clifford's Old Testament Library commentary Job: Norman Habel's Old Testament Library commentary; Carol Newsom's New Interpreter's Bible commentary; "On Job" by Gustavo Guti

Rick Yentzer
After asking the same question elsewhere it appears that Kidner and Longman are also highly recommended. Now to decide between the Tyndale or the EBC. Decisions.
Greg Terry
I would recommend Tyndale. I have both and find myself using Tyndale as the initial 'goto' resource for most of my textual studies.
John Fidel
I would recommend Tyndale. I have both and find myself using Tyndale as the initial 'goto' resource for most of my textual studies. I also prefer the Tyndale set for most of the OT over the EBC. According to www.bestcommentaries.com the Tyndale volumes are #1 for Job, and 3 and 4 for Proverbs and Psalms respectively. This analysis, while subjective, includes all commentary sets. The Tyndale set is very strong in the OT volumes.

Robert Holmstedt
I really appreciate the input. I will purchase the Tyndale series. The Hermeneia series is very high scholarship in general. I have consulted the volume on Ecclesiastes and it is quite good. I have the volumes on Psalms and Song of Songs, but have not used them as much. Also, the Word Biblical Commentaries are good, but although I have them for Accordance, I can no longer find them on the website.
Rick Yentzer
Apparently now that Harper Collins has purchased Thomas Nelson, the contract is being renegotiated.
