Chuck Schneider
I purchased an ebook version of Neues Leben Bibel and successfully converted/imported (as a test) the first few chapters of Genesis. It never occurred to me (since I already have a few German Bibles in Accordance) that the special characters wouldn't convert. Since I didn't see anything about importing foreign language characters in the help files, I thought I would ask here if there is a way to do that. That is, is there a way to ensure that these special characters (umlauts, etc.) are also imported correctly?
John Brownie
You need to have the file in the MacRoman text encoding, not Unicode or some other encoding. If you are saving from a text editor, you can usually choose the encoding somehow, often in the save dialog.
Helen Brown
We hope to allow the import of Bibles in Unicode in the future. If you can convert to an ASCII font, you should have no problem importing German characters to a User Bible.
