First of all, congratz to the new launch of Accordance 10!

And is there any chance that Accordance would offer the interpretation commentary series in the near future?

We are trying to bring it to you. These big series take a long time to get licenses, etexts, and then prepare for Accordance.

I'd love to see this in Accordance, too.

It is a great series.

I don't like it as much as New Interpreter's Bible but it is an awesome series. I love it.

I would love to be able to add the Interpretation commentaries, along with AYBC, to my Accordance!

I'm not sure that I would buy the entire Interpretor's set (unless the price was right) but there are a couple volumes I would love to update to digital copies. (The AYBC set is at the top of my wish list as well Fr. Rich)

Every series has it's strong and weak volumes. Even my most wanted NIB has weaker sections to it…

Absolutely DWFrancis. Just trying to help them gauge interest.

Interpretation volumes I have found very useful include Psalms most assuredly, the Isaiah volumes always have struck me as very useful. All four gospel volumes are fairly good.. but the work on John's gospel seems very uneven to me. Ruth was very insightful too. The Pastorals are well done but are basically treated as thematic whole so occasionally you do not get as much want on the passage you are studying at that moment. Romans and Hebrews are among my favourite volumes on the NT too (not to forget Pheme Perkin's Peter/Jude, her work always is fantastic in my opinion.).

Has it at least been licensed yet??

Yes, we do have the license, but have had some delays obtaining the etexts.

To clarify, we have the license for the full New Interpreter's Bible Commentary from Abingdon, for which we just released the excellent one-volume commentary.

With the mixed discussion between NIB and Interpretation, there was some confusion. We do not have a license for the Interpretation Commentary Series (Westminster John Knox). We are in current discussion with WJK on new titles, so this could be in the mix, but we don't have anything to report at this time.

Sorry for the confusion.

Following up on this thread-- the Interpretation Commentary, Resources and Bible Studies (three series for a total of 69 volumes) are all now available for the Accordance Library as of today. Introductory pricing is available through April 10, 2017.

See today's blog post for more information.

Yes, it has. Negotiating licenses with a publisher is often a long-drawn-out process, and then we stiill have to obtain the files and convert them for Accordance.
