Custom reading plan and User Tools

In the suggestion for user customized reading plans I mentioned my website http://www.enscriptured.com/ That prompted me to do some much-needed enhancements (still in progress; revamping how users create plans) but also triggered a new thought that may benefit Accordance users, and I could use some suggestions.

 

Still learning a bit about Accordance, but I see that people use the User Tool as a way to import customized reading plans into Accordance. What I'm thinking is I can add a feature to Enscriptured which allows users to export their reading plan in a format ready to be imported into the User Tool. Glancing at the docs, I see that Accordance can import html files and automatically recognize tags.

 

Question: Would this be the best format for me to export on Enscriptured, an html file laid out for Accordance that users can download and import into User Tools? (I'm assuming there is no way for me to have Enscriptured automatically generate the User Tool file?) What tags and info should be present/would be helpful in a customized reading plan?

 

As I say, User Tools (and Accordance in general) is new territory for me. I think this would help Accordance users, and if I shift more into Accordance this would also be an asset for my own use.

Hi Chris,

this is not an area of ANY expertise at all on my part, but it may be worthwhile you reading thought the help section of the Accordance Help files on this. Have a look at

I think HTML is your best bet, but you probably need to look at the subset of HTML tags that accordance recognises for the best results. I am pretty sure you can't generate a user tool outside of Accordance. (at least not easily).

Anyway, someone with more insight/knowledge/experience in this area might be able help more.
