Set Text/Tool Display problem back with a vengeance

Hey - It's been a while, so I've started a new thread. The same problem I have had in the past is back - -

 

 

This time, however, it does not clear up by restarting Accordance, or by rebooting. I've repaired permissions with Disk Utility. Note also that in the third shot, what is seen in the Set Tool Dispay window is not how the Tool appeared in the open dictionary - the font was navy, not black.

 

Accordance, obviously, is usable for reading and study, but something is wrong, and it's a recurring problem.

Julie, can you link to your past post? I'm not sure from your post or pics what problem you're referring to. I've had my own recurring problems with text display, and I'd like to see what you're having difficulties with.

Here was the original post. All was well for a while. Now it's worse that before. I will probably just replace my preferences with the ones on my other computer, but this should not be a recurring problem.

I have experienced the same bug, so you're not alone. I can't reproduce it with any consistency (or we would have squashed it already), but I have seen it more than once.

Thank you, Dr. J. Even with all the help from Joel, I was starting to feel kinda isolated!

 

Now that I've replaced my corrupt prefs with the ones from my Mac mini, I'm back to being able to fix the glitich by just quitting and restarting Accordance again.
