AdamRob
Hello, Could someone please show me how to search every occurrence of "spirit" (ruach) in the Hebrew that is in the construct state? Thank you!
Joel Brown
I believe this should do the trick, but I'm certainly no Hebrew expert. רוּחַ@ [NOUN construct]
David Lang
Adam, Joel is correct on the search syntax, but the easiest way to search for a word with a particular grammatical tag (such as Construct), is to enter the word, leaving the cursor in the search blinking immediately after it (in Hebrew, that would be to the left). Then choose the appropriate part of speech from the Enter Tag submenu of the Search menu. In this case, that would be NOUN. A dialog will appear in which you can select the appropriate grammatical details, such as Construct from the State pop-up menu. When finished, click OK to dismiss the dialog. Accordance will then format the search syntax for you. Then just hit return to perform the search.
Ken Simpson
In general, as David says, it is always more reliable using menus and keyboard shortcuts to add commands. It deals with RTL problems much more elegantly doing it this way.
Timothy Jenney
Joel is close. Try this string (I constructed it using David's method): [NOUN construct] @רוח Edited April 21, 2013 by Timothy Jenney
