Many of the places mentioned in the Bible can be seen to this day. Cities like Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jericho have lasted through the ages. Others like Megiddo, Hazor, and Gezer are attested to by their ruins.

Over one hundred years of scientific archaeology have provided us with greater insight into the lives and customs of the ancient peoples who inhabited the region.

A good book.

When I purchased it I was thinking that it was more of a reference book however that was wrong.

It has maps and photo's but it is really more of an introductory textbook in my opinion. That may explain why they titled it "
Understanding Biblical Archaeology: An Introductory Atlas" :-).

Definitely a good read and does open your mind to the time, place, culture and history of the eastern world.

I like it. Its a good read.
