rcdeacon
Download the update here. Obviously I must be doing something wrong but it will not work on my box. I have Lion and 9.4.1. I DO get the widget but I cannot choose translation therefore I get no pasting of Bible text. When I select the "i" the widget does turn but I am unable to select a translation. I'm reasonably sure I have missed the obvious but I must admit I need help! Bob
Joel Brown
Try removing the widget and adding a new one from the dashboard. It should either find Accordance, or ask you to select it.

It's a NO GO for me. On the reverse side where you would select a translation the box is blank and you cannot select a translation and it has never asked either. Bob BTW: I tried a reboot as well. Still NO GO!

Bob, At first I had a problem also. However, I did this. Before downloading the new widget, I deleted the old one, then downloaded and reinstalled the new one. Then I restarted my computer. After installing and restarting, I went to the back of the widget, and I had to click the "Update" button, then translations were available. Don Download the update here. Thanks, Helen, for the team there that fixed the widget. As is often said, you do not know how much you use something until you lose it. rcdeacon
Sorry Don, that DID NOT fix it for me. I get the widget and I can turn it over with the "i" button but I CANNOT get any translation at all. I have tried checking the boxes, hitting the update button all to no avail. Bob

I am sure that the Accordance team will find a fix for you soon, Lord willing. Don
rcdeacon
Okay, I had to play with it a bit and COMPLETELY remove any vestiges of the old widget and the news one I tried installing. I did that and reinstalled and it appears to be working. I wanted to post as soon as possible because I did not want anyone from the Accordance Team to have to be concerned over this. Bob Yes, I should have been more detailed, saying that I not only deleted it from the screen that pops up in Dashboard by clicking the circle with the crosshairs in it, but that I clicked the "Manage Widgets" button, and deleted it from there, asking it to put the widget in the trash, and then I emptied the trash with "Secure Empty Trash." Glad you got it working. If you are like me, it is a valuable tool that you do not want to be without! Don
rcdeacon
You are exactly right. I lean on the widget heavily. Your instructions got me going in the right direction and I sincerely appreciate the help. Bob
circuitrider
I installed the new widget update and cannot get it to work in Pages '09. The widget works in Textedit and other text fields but not Pages. Is there a setting I need to change? Thank you!
Don Ruhl
I installed the new widget update and cannot get it to work in Pages '09. The widget works in Textedit and other text fields but not Pages. Is there a setting I need to change? Thank you! I have discovered a couple of things in this regard. First, sometimes when I have your problem, I switch over to the desktop, and operate the widget so that essentially I am asking it to paste Scripture on the desktop, which it does or perhaps cannot do. But this seems to clear up the problem, because then I go back to Pages, and the widget works! Second, on my MacBook Pro, the widget never pastes on the first try of the day, but then I do it again, and it always works. Third, try to restart your computer. David Padfield
Thanks for the quick fix! It works perfectly for me in both Pages and Keynote.

circuitrider
I think I found a fix for my issue. In System Preferences --> Mission Control, I unchecked "Show Dashboard as Space" and now I don't have any problems. Now the widget comes up on top of my Pages document then disappears when I type in the the reference and press enter, just like it used to. Evan Hershman
I was having problems after updating the OS to Lion, but I uninstalled the widget and then installed the update, and now it works fine. Thanks for the fix.
