As a Bible scholar/professor, I am amazed (not in a good way) at the errors present in just the promotional screenshot. “Based on Hebrew,” as the product description says, six out of eight names in the screenshot are accented on the wrong syllable. Three have the wrong vowel sounds. One of the entries (“El Gibbar”) doesn’t even exist (it’s apparently a mistake for “El Gibbor,” Isa 9:5; 10:21). A glance at the sidebar shows that the product perpetuates misunderstanding by listing as “names of God” terms that are actually the names of places (YHWH Yireh; YHWH Shammah) or even objects (YHWH Nissi), not of God; or are not names at all, but subject-verb pairs plucked out of their sentences (YHWH mekkadesh, which always appears with a direct object following mekkadesh). I won’t be purchasing this product, and I recommend others look elsewhere for more reliable information. (Note that all of these comments are about the *content* of the product, not the Accordance implementation. I love Accordance itself, and as you may have guessed, used it multiple times to verify the content of these comments.)
