Getting Started: Accordance makes it easy to dive into the study of the Bible!
For over 30 years, Accordance Bible Software has been equipping pastors, students, professors, and serious laypersons to engage in deep study of the Bible. Known for its speed, ease of use, and flexibility, Accordance removes the common roadblocks to scriptural insight by keeping the Bible central to your studies. To help users get the most out of their software purchase, we offer a variety of training materials and opportunities:
In-Program Tutorials:
Accordance offers over 75 interactive tutorials to guide you step-by-step through the process of accomplishing common tasks in the program. These tutorials can be accessed from the HELP menu and range from exploring basic functions of the program (such as opening the library and performing word searches) to demonstrating the intermediate and advanced features that enable cutting edge research into the biblical languages and their use in ancient texts.
To access the tutorials:
- From the menu bar, select Help>Tutorials>(select a Tutorial). The selected Tutorial is launched in a separate workspace.
- Click Begin to start the Tutorial.
- Perform the stated task manually, or click Do It For Me. Note: During each step of the Tutorial, you have the option to have the Tutorial complete the step for you. You can also perform the task manually.
- When the Tutorial is complete, click Exit or Next Tutorial. Note: “Next Tutorial” is displayed as an option when the Tutorial is part of a series.
- To close the Tutorial Workspace and return to your original Workspace, select File>Close from the menu bar.
Help Files:
Accordance is a powerful tool for studying the Bible. While much of the program is intuitive or easily explored by clicking icons and pulling down menus, it can be overwhelming. We want you to get the very most out of your study of the scriptures through Accordance. To that end, we designed our comprehensive Help files to bring you up to speed quickly if you are a newer user, or enhance your knowledge of Accordance if you’ve been using it for a while.
Accordance Support Center and Community:
Visit our Support Center to explore articles and videos on a variety of Accordance related topics. Use the search function to explore topics and find answers to questions. If you can’t find the answer you need on our Support Center, visit the Community page to ask questions, report corrections and bugs, or request modules for Accordance Bible Software.
Weekly Webinars and Training:
We offer live, interactive training sessions with Accordance staff over the Internet. These classes are free and have limited attendance to enable interaction between the participants, so be sure to check the listings and sign up soon to reserve your place.
